Cards Mini-Camp Recap

The Arizona Cardinals 2019 rookie class took to the field for the first time at the Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Center in Tempe from May 10-12. All eyes were on the number one draft pick Kyler Murray, and he did not disappoint. Before Murray hit the practice field he did run into a very minor issue; his cleats hadn't been delivered yet. Murray was forced to use a random pair of cleats, which he later would say hurt his feet. Even with the wrong cleats, Murray looked sharp and showed no effects at all.

After seeing Murray sling the ball around the field, cameras began picking up the relationship between Murray and head coach Kliff Kingsbury. The two looked like a match made in heaven, working side by side.

Overall the Cardinals had 28 players at the rookie mini-camp this past weekend. The wide receivers showed off their skills as well, with Andy Isabella quickly becoming a favorite for his QB Kyler Murray.

On Monday, the veterans rolled into town to begin practicing with the rookies. Now the focus will turn to watching how Kyler begins mixing with the likes of David Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, and Chandler Jones to name a few.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks as we break down how the Cardinals have looked in mini-camp and begin to really delve deep into the Cardinals roster as of now and eventually who will break camp with the final 53.
